Mr. Mayer oversees investor relations and is a research analyst within GMO’s Focused Equity team. Previously at GMO, he was a member of the Global Equity team focusing on the Quality Strategy. Prior to joining GMO in 2006, he managed the US fixed income syndicate desk at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Mayer earned his bachelor's degree in History from Princeton University.

Overview

Kim Mayer, portfolio strategist for GMO’s Focused Equity team, joined Brad Roth on the Behind the Ticker podcast. In the episode, Kim described his background and role as a portfolio strategist for GMO’s Focused Equity team. GMO recently launched its first ETF, the GMO U.S. Quality ETF (ticker QLTY), and Kim explained GMO’s entry into the ETF marketplace as well as how the launch of QLTY aims to allow GMO to access a broader audience of investors. Brad and Kim also discussed GMO’s broad investment philosophy and some insight into Kim’s personal life and interests.
