Sydney - Global investment manager Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO) has launched its new Australian investment trust for wholesale investors. The trust, led by investment veteran Dr. Tom Hancock, will provide Australian investors with access to GMO’s flagship Quality Strategy which invests in some of what GMO considers to be the highest quality and most durable businesses globally.

The GMO Quality Strategy, which has consistently outperformed its benchmark since inception, was launched in February 2004 and currently has $9.6bn USD in FuM. The Strategy is managed by the GMO Focused Equity team which uses a combination of fundamental and systematic processes to identify a high conviction and high-quality universe of companies.
The GMO Quality Trust joins GMO Australia’s existing suite of funds including two Systematic Global Macro strategies and an Emerging Market equities trust.
